Five years have gone by for the Grand Inquisitor, turned into a sleeper agent and assassin in the night for the Church. During her tenure as undercover, she had killed a good number of heretics, and even set more up to their own demises. She played both sides against the middle, even going so far as to become a General once again for the Empire.
The war veteran lead ongoing wars against Wutai even as the Empire backpedaled into civil war and anguish. Her children, the first born a girl, was five, and the second, a boy, was four, held back at home in New Junonsburg in the official St. Cloud manor. The manor, during those five years, finally managed to acquire enough bolts and roofing tiles to be finished, and it stood as a steel and iron stronghold, impenetrable nearly. It was built to last, and last it did.
As time marched on, into the ten year mark, Ariadne continued to be a leader within the Church, and was finally made a Cardinal by the courts. She mostly withdrew from world affairs to tend to her family, but even then, her raw power and brute strength had become legendary within the world. It was not something nice, as the kind woman was often called to show her darker side.
Behind her, in ten years, she left several more wars, and a long line of corpses leading to her current position, bought with blood, in the Church. She had an iron fist, and did upheld her virtues throughout life. She was a beacon to many, a successor to others, and a righteous leader.
In the end, that was all that mattered.
