With a moderately human-like form, Andromeda floats through the Starfield, seemingly at random. She is the custodian of the realm, and her concerns are directed almost solely to it. However, she will listen to those who wish to speak with her.

When summoned, she comes from the stars and attacks the enemy of the one she has made a pact for with starlight (non-elemental damage). The strength in the pact is Science/Astronomy to a max of 30.

Spell

The summoner may spend an action and 20 MP to call Andromeda to the field, who will emit a blinding burst of starlight. Everybody except the summoner—friend and foe alike—within visual range of the spirit must achieve 6 generic resist successes or be stricken with the [Dark] status and the effects of the Blind flaw for the duration of the scene. If anybody within visual range would normally be harmed by light (vampires, shades, and so forth), failing the resist also results in the loss of one health level. This spell is distinct from the Starlight component, which is also granted by Andromeda but must be purchased separately.


Prerequisites: Archetype-Summon 10, White-Summon 15, Science/Astronomy 10

Additionally, to affirm the pact with Andromeda, the summoner will be expected to demonstrate their knowledge of the stars. The great spirit will ask a series of questions, normally asking the Summoner to name a particular star, or a planet circling it.

This can be achieved directly with 4 successes on an Intelligence+Science/Astronomy check,

Or indirectly with 6 successes on an Intelligence+Folk-Lore/Spirits check representing the knowledge of which answers Andromeda favors rather than actual education in astronomy.
