Recently risen to the ranks of a greater spirit, this guardian being knew only Gaia as its master for many aeons. Only when the horde threatened the land around it did it rouse to protect the humans from a greater evil. Brought back from its self inflicted death to fight once more, it drove back the metallic army, and in doing so, secured a place for it amongst the stars.
Atma dwells within the real of Sister Ray, the fabled and many storied city of Midgar. Atma Weapon can be found in the shaded realm that lies beneath the cities plates. Guarding the lower approach to Midgar from those who may try to smuggle the forbidden dreams and memories of technology from the realm.
It is said the shadow realm beneath the plates is a land of mystery and lost secrets. Why does the 7th segment, where the ancient trainstation runs set out as a memorial and grave-yard? What is the significant of the great church that lies in the shadow beneath the 5th Segment? Few know the truth of this or the reason why and it is said that here in the shadows of Midgar lost secrets may be found, and forgotten stories brought to life once again.
