Blackburn

One of the oldest families around, Blackburn has played some role in matters since shortly after HOLY, although history really only regards the house after its appearance as one of the family's ennobled by the Emperor Highwind on the assimilation of the city of New Junonsburg into the Holy Empire.
It is a slightly strange one however, always thought to be powerful and of great influence, and yet always rather quiet. Most people know the house is there, but politics usually leave it be. Generally, the house has always been known as a friend of the Imperial Highwind family, however since the civil war, the house's political activities, once known as the family the Empire would rely on when a trustworthy steward were needed for the temporary rule of a city for instance, have become yet more silent.
Having always focussed far more upon civil affairs rather than military or political, the House throughout their history have been traders, educators and healers, normally with a fair, if quiet image in common eyes. The same goes with the House's role in the colony of Highwind Point, having become somewhat favoured in the eyes of the populace as the quiet lot that run the Hospital and watch after education and so on.
