PC Archetype, not for monsters: Cactaur require retirement XP. 200 XP is lost upon taking the bestial merit. You can't take it if it'd reduce you to 0 XP or less.

Description: Short cactus like creatures that seem to live in a two dimension world. They move only sideways, but this is hardly an inconvenience for them.


Advantages:

Incredible Speed: +4 successes to dodge. Their dodge is also level adjusted. They move at double movement rate at all times, but always side ways. They have to turn their whole body to shift direction, but are still heading sideways.

Status Resistance: All resistance rolls are at +5.

Quills: They have needles, begin with +15 in Quills.

20 needles: Once per day, a cactaur may unleash a debilitating spray of needles. 20 damage done plus one per MP spent(Which also implies an additional needle). Dodge may reduce the damage, but armor and spells do not. Damage may be soaked as physical damage in the case of Toughen or physical immunities(Considered WP 10).


Disadvantages:

Mute: Cactaur don't talk.

Inhuman Structure: Cactaur don't wear armor, or wield weapons, live with it. They can employ necklaces and could in theory wear a crown or cap(for possible enchantments).


Rarity: Very Rare, Rare in deserts.

Known Homeland: Where there's nice hot sand and little rain.
