Cerberus

From SCross

Jump to: navigation, search

The fabled three-headed dog patrols the Abyss; allowing all but the Phoenix-touched to enter with a wagging tail and friendly greeting. But the dead who try to leave, or those who displease this realm, find themselves pitted against a true death-hound, and Hades' favored, loyal pet.

Spell

In combat, Cerberus can be summoned with a cost of 40 MP and 2000 ATB, and will breathe fire, darkness, and lightning respectively from each of its three mouths, inflicting 2d100 fire/black/lightning damage as appropriate. These three 'shots' can be spent all one target, or can be divided as desired by the summoner. Each shot is soaked seperately, and can thusly remove a health level each. For an additional cost of 10 more MP, the flame shot will inflict [Immolate] at 1d10 successes, the Black shot will inflict [Darkness] at 1d10 successes, and the lightning shot will inflict [Stun] at 1d10 successes.

Spirit Channeler Effect

Those who channel Cerberus (spirit channeler merit), can smell all Unsent and Undead within a mile of them, and any brawl attack made upon such a creature inflicts them with "Death-Sentence". This effect can be resisted with +resist against a target of 3. The target can be increased by 1 per 10 MP spent BEFORE rolling to hit. The channeler also gains the specials of Hellfire, Ball-Lightning, and Dark-Wave at a rating of 5 while the spirit is channeled. Their physical appearance temporarily becomes canine, and flames will steadily pour from their eyes and mouths, their tongues lolling out the side as they for a time have the three canine heads of the guardian of the dead!

Prerequisites: Black-Summon of 20, and must not be in Hades' bad graces.
