Ice (Spirit)

Ice is the Lesser Spirit of Fertility, direct subordinate of, and counterpart to, Gerna. The specifics of her Atwa are Love->Fertility->Female-biased Fertility, while Gerna is the reflection and opposite being Male-Biased. Her personality is, for the most part, serious. She's quiet (mute, in fact, and communicates via telepathy), and comes off sometimes as somewhat shy because of that. She is very thorough, fairly methodical in most things, but can be playful, even mischievous, when the mood strikes her. When it's official duties, though, she's all business. She's very moralistic, with a strong sense of right and wrong, though willing to do what needs to be done to in an ends-justify

Views on Mortals: She likes mortals. And no wonder, perhaps, considering she started her existence on Gaia as one. She didn't become an Esper, in fact, until sometime around her 14th birthday. 'Sometime around' because she was an orphan, and doesn't know her actual birthday, nor her own given name. It's an interesting situation, regarding her name, as the result is that she doesn't even know her own True Name, the secret name by which, if known, can be used to command her obedience. Her origins as a mortal, and the fact that she is a very young Spirit, in celestial terms (she's only about 50, give or take), means her connection to Mortal Life, though somewhat distanced by her current nature, is still quite strong."

Part of the reason she travels is to make herself as available as she can. Summoning lesser spirits and such without being pacted incurs a range limit on how far the summoning will reach, and leaves response to such a summon optional. Though, Ice will rarely turn one down unless busy with something else. Most summons she answers aren't directed at her, specifically, but to just a Fertility Esper/Spirit in general. The most effective summons for her, or most other fertility spirits/espers when not targeting any specific one, tends to be ritual offerings and, oddly enough, 'prayer', which is just a convenient way of describing "concentrating on calling the appropriate entity" and not meant to reference religious prayer. Things like wine, figurines and carvings and such of fertility themes, ect, so-forth. The guidelines are pretty wide since it's the intent, more than the objects themselves, that's important."

The Esper Court's Treasurer isn't a Financial Officer. Ice does not, nor did she ever, have any kind of control over whatever finances the Esper Court had. The meaning of the title Treasurer is a great deal more literal, and ties directly to the Esper Vaults themselves. No one knows (or remembers, as the case may be) how the Esper Court came to posses the Vaults, whether they were created or found, or what. The Vaults are, in fact, a kind of 'pocket dimension', a small Realm-like space all it's own that doesn't belong to any Spirit and is completely cut off from all other Spirit-controlled Realms. Wouldn't be a very secure vault if there were a bunch or ways in, naturally. The Vaults actual size is impossible to measure, and probably changes dynamically based on what's contained, but it is, in the end, a secure place to hold 'Treasures'. And it's the Treasurer's job to keep inventory of the contents of the Vaults. As that's the Treasurer's duty, the Treasurer is the only being who can access the Vaults, and that access is granted by a magic Artifact which is both the symbol of the Treasurer's office and the key to the Vaults themselves: An object called the Esper Keyblade. The Vaults, having no physical location on Gaia, can be accessed from anywhere on Gaia using the Esper Keyblade, and using the Keyblade, Ice can put things in, and remove things from, the Vaults.

It was originally used by the Espers to lock away things they found that they felt were of great danger to themselves and/or the world. So, there are a lot of ancient weapons in the Vaults, some of them technology that's been forgotten by Man. Of course, that doesn't mean Ice has any more of an idea than anyone else what some of that stuff is or does. There's even a few buildings in the Vaults, including a tower that was created by some players in a previous SC game, The Tower of Istar. There's also a good deal of Magicite stored in the vaults, placed there by Ice at the behest of the Esper King some years ago after Elliot's first raid on the Esper Forest, where Elliot stole quite a bit of Magicite. There's also a lot of art, more conventional weapons ranging from mundane to magical to Artifact in nature, vehicles both modern and ancient, and a great deal more."

On the subject of Ice's position as Treasurer, and why she still holds it... She earned the position a few years after becoming an Esper, and has held the position faithfully ever since. The reason she still holds it, even after ascension to Lesser Spirit-hood, is simply that the Esper Court hasn't asked her to pass it on. She does a good job at it, and likes the work, as well. Yes, it is common knowledge that she uses this keyblade. She makes use of it routinely as her primary means of long-distance travel, since it will take her to the Vault from anywhere, and will take her to anywhere from the Vaults. It is not common knowledge, however, what the Keyblade actually is or what it can actually do.

To pact Ice one need but track her down, she travels the world with the Key Blade in hand, always on the move, never stopping. She does not dwell in any realm though she can as easily be found in the realms as upon Gaia. One place that some people recommend is the Palace of Imposibilities on the border between Blizana and the Infernus.
