Mana Tree

Tallest among all the trees of the Esper Forest stands the Mana Tree, a great tree so tall that its branches span over the surrounding section of the woodland as a second canopy, and raised as a bastion of the forest's power. It marks the absolute centre of the Esper Forest, and due to its sheer size has been formed to contain functional places for the Espers - living spaces for those who have none, a meeting hall, a small forge ( the most industrialised point in the whole forest ) built into a stove, and a set aside sleeping space should one more special be required.

It is said that due to its magical nature, this tree bears fruit of all kinds, and it isn't just within the living spaces that take up a very small portion of the trunk that people live but also within its branches, many preferring to live up among its maze of limbs and bows.

Of course, only those who are members of the court are allowed to touch, let alone enter or climb this great tree. Once more, the nobility and higher may move freely, and Commoners and Retainers of well regard with permission and proper respect. Even those outside the court who are escorted may not usually enter, however.
