Mtezeko
From SCross
This is a PC archetype. Though, unlike moogle, you could use it for a rabid mtezeko if you wanted to.
Description: Quadraped felines with ruddy red fur and a non-burning flame at the end of their long tails.
Advantages:
Long Lived: They gain the benefits of an especially long life.
Tie to Gaia: Mtezeko can hear the whispers and mad thoughts of Gaia. As much an advantage as a disadvantage. Mtezeko begin with ten less humanity, but are far less likely to leap into psychotic fits.
Fire Mastery: Mtezeko gain 10 in Fire-Affinity
Infectious: 5%(rolled randomly) of mtezeko bear a virus infected in the genetic line around fifty two AH. Any being suffering a bite or claw from such an infected beast must make a stamina resistance. If they score under a resistance level of five, they undergo a swift transformation over the course of fifteen minutes + one minute per resistance level, becoming a mtezeko themself. They do NOT gain these advantages and are not infectious themselves. If they score over five but under ten, the change occurs in as many hours as the resistance roll, and will revert within a day of the change finishing, taking the same amount of time. Above ten and the virus is shrugged off. If the virus is shrugged off(11+), the victim can never be so infected.
Disadvantages:
Inhuman Structure: Wearing armor is a ludicrous idea, as is the idea of most weapons. Both must be made specifially for a mtezeko. A mtezeko using a wepaon suffers -10 to hit(or -1 success if using automated code). Such armor costs five times the normal price to make and an NPC will charge upwards of six to ten times as much for the trouble involved.
Uncivilized: Mtezeko gain the Uncivilized Flaw, +2 difficulty to social rolls of any against anyone who is not also a monster.
Rabid: Infectious Mtezeko, upon infecting their first victim, must make a willpower resistance. If they score under five, they go completely rabid and berserk. They gain the [Berserk] and [Haste] status' and keep both until they are slain, putting them out of their misery.
Fearless: Mtezeko don't know fear. Or so they claim.. They must succeed a willpower check against five to flee or back down from a conflict. If someone they consider 'of their pack' is endangered, the level increases to ten.
Rarity: Rare
Known Homeland: Mtezeko are considered 'Uncommon' on the western continents. Morphic members of the breed are commonly elders of communities.
