Northern Crater

A massive Crater, presumably formed by some huge impact during Gaia's early history. It has been the location of at least one great battle in known history, and legends speak of a good few other major, violent incidents that have occurred here. Indeed, the inside of the crater still bears a good many scars and blemishes, still healing wounds from such times.
Even today, the Northern Crater is an extremely dangerous place, swarming with monsters and prone to regular, unpredictable eruptions of lifestream ( as well as, occasionally, open flowing rivers of the dangerous liquid ). Few venture to the crater due to these dangers, and far fewer return, meaning that it is rare to know of anything that occurs here unless its effects reach the few people living near enough to see it as more than another mountain range.
