Red Mages are a breed of scholarly magic users, that possess a certain Jack-Of-Trades quality. With the uncharacteristic ability of fine swordsmanship, and the ability to cast offensive and defensive spells, this job has alot to offer any situation. However, their specialized brethren will always be able to do it better.

105% 100% While casting spells, the bonus given by shields is increased, causing all soaks to increase by 5% if /block is used as their defensive mode. -1 MP cost to any spell(Automatic).


L4 Limit

The red mage's shield becomes a tool of the arcane dance. Every attack blocked restores 10% of the mage's MP while the 5/7/10 strength Shield Dance status remains active.

L8 Limit

The next spell cast imbues the red mage's shield. Each time the red mage is struck with a melee or brawling weapon, the spell has a 30%(at 100), 50%(at 200), 70%(at 300) chance of firing off on the attacker. AoE spells lose thier AoE component.
