Retribution?

The Geomancer, Seneca, Shadorn and Ryn disappear in a flash of green energies, sipping away from the forest at breakneck speeds... As the Mtezeko approaches, it skids to a stop a short distance away and bays loudly. "Murderers! THEIVES! Brigands!" It hisses out at the two remaining, it's mane standing on end and fangs beared in a snarl.
Akir growls lowly, his voice otherworldly, "You call us murders and thieves when it was you who nearly killed and cursed mi friend."
Helio grins, lifting up her claws as she licks them... tasting the blood upon them.. "These claws were ment to taste your blood, tonight they shall." as her movements seem faster now. "Regardless of my curse you laid upon me... I will kill you and have your fur as a trophy, THIS I PROMISE!"
The Mtezeko howls out a mournful cry. "Kill me now! Kill me! For such a fate I would not want... My home no longer safe, my mate dead and battered by your hands... And my dear Kyra..." She croons lowly then perks up and snarls once more. " But before I die. I'll drag your hides down to hades with me, murderers!" She snarls and lunges forward!
Helio blinsk a bit as the sudden realization hits her... the Mtezeko and that Behemoth.. that kitten... the Mtezeko before her... her ears flatten a bit in an upset manner.. "That.. kitten... was yours? And.. that mtezeko I saw fighting a behemoth.. your mate?" she looks at the Mtezeko, back at Akir... "No, stop fighting... please... thi.. this isn't what I want... this isn't right.. not anymore..." as she steps closer towards the Ice Mtezeko.
Akir blinks and stops a moment, looking to the Mtezeko, suddenly feeling very awkward as it shown on his face clearly.
Ice Mtezeko doesn't seem interested in talking, Frost appearing before her head and launching a sheet of Ice at Helio. She only snarls at the Cuar and crouches for it's next attack.
Helio shakes her head.. "Attack me if you must.. I acted upon instinct. The Behemoth was coming after me... and was decimating that red Mtezeko..." she coughs... shaking her head a bit.. "That blue kitten.. was dirty.. I cleaned her up and protected her... as part of my duty to my Order... I'm sorry... I really am..."
Akir will advance as well, reverting back to normal then. "Please, we did not know it was your kitten or your mate." He lowers himself to all fours and holds himself low to the ground in a submissive posture while advancing towards the Mtezeko.
The Mtezeko braces itself for a harmful spell but blinks as it's just all wet now...
Ice Mtezeko looks mildly confused but snarls and attempts to grapple Akir with it's jaws! Lunging for his neck.
The Mtezeko has Akir by the throat!
Helio sighs.. "Leave... Akir... alone! Your quarrel is with me!" as she goes to body check the Mtezeko.
Akir gurks and offers a slightly strangled gasp, thankfully the thick fur on his neck protected those process carriers of lifeblood in his neck..for now.
( Helio knocks hard into it, but it keeps it's grasp on Akir! When Helio hits it, she's sprayed with the cold water from the Aqua spell that was still dripping from the Metzeko . )
Helio grunts as she rams herself into the Mtezeko.. splashing the water upon her as she twitches.. her body twisting and contorting just a bit as she keeps the same general size.. but... her fur is entirely red now.. and her tailtip.. is in flames and is not even female anymore... Luckily, his clothing seems to stay on thanks to same body shape.
Akir starts to struggle a bit now as he's jarred, really not wanting to get his neck snapped in the struggle. Though such attempt is paused when he sees Helio and he sorta just...stares.
The Mtezeko growls lowly around Akir's windpipe, glaring two little holes in his head... At least, until he pauses and looks out at Helio. She peers towards whatever it is that's made him stop struggling... And blinks, her eyes going wide and her jaw slackening slightly. She looks stunned...
Helio blinks a bit... looking at himself.. "Uhh... All-Father what happened..." he mutters, a decidedly masculine voice could be heard as he spoke... looking at the Mtezeko... "Will.. you listen to me now?" as he sits... twitching his eight crystalline tails and his flame tipped tail..
The Mtezeko lowers it's head a little bit, ears laying back and tail tucked back between it's legs... Seems like now would be the time to say something. Or bolt. Though it's jaw is still wrapped around Akir's throat.
Akir mmms and could feel blood running down his neck, he decided now would probably be good time to extract himself.
The Mtezeko is nearly stunned enough to get shoved off of Akir... But at the last moment, she snaps back to reality and clamps down on him again with a low growl.
Akir gurks and whimpers softly, his breath now a bit more strangulated than before.
Helio nods a bit as he looks at her... "Please, let go of him, and please answer... was that kitten that I sent off your daughter... and that Mtezeko.. who was murdered by that Behemoth your mate?"
The Mtezeko's wide eyes snap back to Helio, his grip on Akir slacking slightly once again. She growls lowly at Helio's question and gives a slow nod of her head at the first... though her fur bristles at the second. "YOU!" She hisses around Akir's neck, his blood frothing slightly around her lips. "The stink of your black powder was on him... Is on you! His body battered and crushed..." Akir can feel the grip returning upon him... Though she doesn't rend him... Yet. Her wide eyes still focused on the seemingly ghastly figure of Helio before her.
Akir coughs and gasps, he doesn't try to invite another rending, though he could feel his strength starting to seep away little by little.
Helio nods... "I'll return your kitten, please.. forgive me upon that." as he lowers his head.. "I'm sorry... Rynshala, our chocobo, tried to defend us from mainly that Behemoth. I apologize that your mate was caught in it as well... please, tell me what I can to do make up for this travesty... I... I honestly don't wish you more harm than that has befallen you."
The Metzeko squints at Helio and seems to consider this. "An eye for an eye..." She rumbles. "You slew the keeper, which invited that beast to attack when it did..." She hisses to them both, looking back down at Akir. "And did nothing to aid, only to help destroy..."
Akir draws a gurgling breath, slowly feeling around next to him to see if his katana is near...
Helio nods, turning his head away... "Eye... for an eye... so be it." as he steps forth... "Let go of Akir... this was my fault to begin with..." as she turns to Akir... shaking his head as he turns back towards the Ice Mtezeko.. "I'm a Mtezeko... cursed... but I see that this will not be a way to fufil the revenge you wish to seek upon me and my group... so, I offer up my body as you see fit... in exchange, I'll have Akir here bring your kitten back to you within the next two days..."
The Mtezeko eyes Helio for a moment longer before releasing Akir and stalks towards her. "Hrmph... So be it..." She murmurs, the canine's blood dripping from her fangs. Akir find his sword right next to him, unsheathed and ready for action. As well as a murderous glint in the Mtezeko's eyes.
Thum-thump... Just a heart beat for Akir to make his decision on what to do.
Helio lowers his head...awaiting the strike upon him. "Akir... get the kitten..." are his last words as he awaits...
Akir can't speak, his vocal cords refusing to work as he looks to the Mtezeko. He couldn't get the kitten even if he wanted, he was too weak to fly and the geomancer wouldn't be back for a day. 'You...have too many yet to live for...I'm sorry...I...cannot let this come to past...' He, using what strength he can muster, hurls his sword, with TK behind it, in an attempt to impale the Mtezeko's throat with any luck.
It all happens in the blink of an eye before Helio. The Mtezeko's head is rearing back for the bite, fangs brought to bare. When a sickening squelch fills her ears and a glinting tip of Akir's sword is exposed just below the canine's trachea. A bubbling gasp sounds from the beast, it's eyes already rolling back in it's head from shock... However, with its dying breath, the beast lunges upon Helio's neck and bites down... Hard enough to break the surface and inflict some damage... But not a fatal blow... As she slain beast collapses, a symphony of shattering crystal sounds from behind Helio, the crystals that were her tails shattering and falling off in great sheets.
As the scene comes to rest before Helio's eyes, a blinding pain shoots through her system. Her heart beginning to race and pound in her ears until... Unconsciousness too takes her. Shortly after seeing Helio drop, Akir too loses consciousness. Slumping to the ground due to exhaustion and lack of blood.
Akir watches the blade strike two, but the rest is lost to him, his, paw goes to his bleeding throat, eyes getting slightly glassy. He then..slumps down, as red stains spread out from his throat and onto the earth...
Both of them, however, in the back of their eye lids... See a mother and a daughter Mtezeko, smiling at them. "Live on ... For her sake..." The blue female says, turning to walk away from the daughter... And leaving you both with that final image.
