Rule of Silence and her successor

The Esper Courts have been through a lot. No longer able to be content to be happy forest creatures frolicking about recent events had forced them to form a defense. In the public eye, they had made a city walls and had a few units of odd creatures. Behind the scenes though, the forest was covered with an intricate networks of tunnels designed for counter offensive, and an underground barracks with a city size standing army slowly developing in it. On top of this, with help from various magical spirits and seers, Silence and the espers completed a tactical device that allowed them to view troop activity in and surrounding the forest, with residents and allies given enchantments to make them show up as different colors and making it nigh impossible for an enemy to hide nearby or get the jump on them. This became more painfully obvious when a rogue general with a heretical army attacked the forest. They came in, a huge force, and stormed past the gates with ease, thinking it would be an easy battle. But once inside the gates, not a single man from the troop was ever seen again. Hundreds of soldiers killed to the last man for their incursion with almost no damage to the defending residents. After this, many would surely think twice about storming them, and it might have been a prime factor in the Empire agreeing to fully enforce the Esper-Mortal pact as it had been for centuries before, and their subsequent complete lack in wasting resources even trying to interact with the Esper Forest, finally leaving them to a long silent peace. Her job complete, Silence herself faded into lesser spirit hood along with her long time mate Worgan, Esper of fire. It is unclear what spirits they may have become, but it seems that they had a fulfilling life as espers. Departing, she personally chose the next Queen, Emerald daughter of Eve, who had earned her way to being a full Esper as other half espers had done in the past, who ruled a long prosperous time much as her mother did long before.
